The voices your child learns from should be yours
A talking pack is a small set of words and sounds. In most of them the narrator is a stranger hired by a studio. Here the narrator is you: you say the word once, and it is your voice the child hears every time after that. Recorded on the device, kept on the device, working with no account and no advertising.
- Nothing you record can leave this device. There is no network request in any file the browser loads.
- Sound from the first tap. Every creature has a sound made in the browser, so a pack is alive before you have recorded anything.
- No streak, no score, no timer, no advert. A child cannot reach a payment screen from the table.
Ready on an iPad? Open the share button and choose Add to Home Screen โ it then runs full screen with the browser chrome gone, like any other app.
The table
Tap a card and it says its word and its sound. Tap Record and the word becomes yours.
Your voice
Pick a card, press record, say the word. It is stored in this browser on this device. Nothing about the recording is counted, measured, uploaded or shared.
Tap a card first, then record that word.
You have recorded 0 words on this device.
Give a friend their first pack
The words a parent records are the first thing another parent asks about. Send them the code below, or the link that carries it. Nothing is given away that was paid for, and the code proves itself on their device without asking anyone.

What this is not
- The animal sounds are synthesised, not recorded. They are made in the browser. No licensed audio is used anywhere, and pretending otherwise would be the one dishonest thing this page could do.
- It cannot yet count a referral for real. A code proves itself on the device; counting them needs the small service that comes with a launch, and until then the counter is local.
- It is not offline the first time. The page itself must be fetched before it will open, which is a decision recorded in the README rather than a gap nobody noticed.
- It is not a curriculum. It is a table of words and sounds a parent and a child sit in front of together.
Privacy
No account is created. No name, age, birthday, school or address is asked for or stored. The recordings are held in this browser's own database on this device, and the only way to remove them is to forget one here, or to clear the site's data.
The page carries Google Analytics only if you say yes, and it records anonymous page views, clicks and scroll depth. It never sees a recording, a word a child was asked, or a card that was tapped as an answer. Answer no and the page contacts nobody: there is no tag in the page for it to load, and the gate is the only thing that could add one.
